John P. Garvey Joins Ankura as a Senior Managing Director

Business Advisory Firm Adds Regulatory, Forensic Accounting and Fraud Investigation Expert
Washington, DC – Thursday, October 5, 2017 – Ankura Consulting Group (Ankura) announced today the appointment of John P. Garvey as a Senior Managing Director. Based in the Chicago office, Mr. Garvey brings more than 40 years’ experience in fraud and accounting investigations, forensic accounting, and Securities and Exchange Commission, Department of Justice, and Commodity Futures Trading Commission regulatory issues.
Mr. Garvey’s background includes both directing and testifying in complex litigation matters regarding fraud and forensic accounting, accounting restatements and financial statement reconstruction, securities fraud, accounting irregularities, insider trading, merger and acquisition disputes, professional liability, valuation, and general damages issues.
In addition, Mr. Garvey has represented companies and individuals before the SEC, DOJ, and CFTC and assisted legal counsel on board-directed investigations of allegations of fraud and accounting irregularities. He has appeared as an expert in Delaware Chancery Court, bankruptcy court, and federal and state courts and served as an independent arbitrator.
