WASHINGTON D.C. – September 19, 2018 – Ankura, a leading business advisory and expert services firm that leverages integrated risk management, governance, compliance, investigations, forensics, technology, turnaround and restructuring, and management consulting capabilities, today announced the appointment of Orion C. Corcilius as Managing Director. Mr. Corcilius, who brings more than 20 years of experience within the real estate and hospitality industries, is based in New York where he provides global infrastructure and real estate advisory solutions to Ankura clients. His responsibilities include business development, managing new client relationships, and providing analytical, financial, and transactional advisory support to clients.
Prior to joining Ankura, Mr. Corcilius led a boutique advisory firm focused on hospitality and mixed-use asset classes where he managed client relationships and created the financial cash flows, capitalization strategies, valuation, and waterfall models for the firm’s real estate projects. In addition to hospitality and mixed-use real estate, Mr. Corcilius expanded the reach of his capabilities across multiple industry sectors to include residential, multi-family, food and beverage, entertainment, retail, office, industrial, agricultural and energy initiatives.
Mr. Corcilius has developed financial models for and advised on over 100 prospective real estate transactions. His skillsets will be a valuable asset as Ankura bridges the offerings of the newly acquired practices with the firm’s existing offerings.
“Orion’s appointment marks the continued growth of our global infrastructure and real estate advisory team and our enhanced commitment to providing clients worldwide with tailored solutions to address the challenges of industry change, growth, and transformation,” said Kevin Lavin, Co-President of Ankura. “With over 20 years of industry experience, Orion brings not only a highly-technical skillset, but also a deep understanding of how to translate the analytics into practical solutions for clients. “It is exciting to be joining Ankura and helping our clients successfully navigate some of their most complex challenges,” said Mr. Corcilius. “Ankura’s team brings together some of the best and brightest in the industry. I feel fortunate to be working alongside everyone here, particularly at this time as we continue to expand our global infrastructure and real estate advisory footprint. I am very much looking forward to leveraging my industry expertise and relationships to enhance the capabilities of this practice and provide our clients with effective and impactful solutions.”
