Olga manages all external financial audit preparations and related compliance with annual bankruptcy court filing requirements, reviews adequacy of required footnote disclosures, and designs and implements internal audit functions to ensure specific types of claims are processed according to established trust distribution procedures. She advises management officials and trustees on policy decisions related to annual expenditures and resource allocations.
Prior to joining Ankura, Olga worked as a senior accountant at Cohn Reznick (f.k.a. Watkins Meegan, LLC) in Bethesda, MD, where she performed audits and advised on compliance issues for not-for-profit and NGO clients. She consulted on internal controls integrations and external audit preparations. Olga also performed project management providing various consulting services related to company-wide accounting software conversions, establishing accounts payable departments, and preparing financial documents for initial public offerings for numerous clients. Additionally, she performed accounting and financial reporting functions for various clients.
Olga’s earlier experiences include performing various accounting roles in international money transmitter, import-export textile and small public accounting firms.
