Anthony Wubbena is a Managing Director at Ankura based in Saudi Arabia. Anthony brings more than 14 years’ experience in forensic investigations and forensic technology, advising clients on forensic investigations of digital evidence, the interrogation of complex data sets, cyber risk, information governance, and disclosure of electronic documents.
Experience
Anthony leads both global and domestic high-complexity engagements and works with public-company boards, managements, audit and special committees, private-equity firms, and external counsel. He applies more than a decade of global operations, financial analysis, accounting, technology, and governance expertise to achieve operational efficiencies, improve internal controls, and resolve complex accounting, finance, regulatory and legal issues.
Throughout his career, Anthony’s work has focused on accounting fraud investigations, alleged FCPA violations, public corruption investigations, embezzlement and kickback investigations, incident response investigations, IP theft cases, employment disputes including sexual misconduct and harassment, securities and investment fraud investigations, cartel/anti-trust investigations, asset tracing and due diligence assignments, compliance (export, money laundering and sanctions) review exercises, as well as supported commercial litigation and international arbitration.
He has worked with global clients across various sectors, including oil and gas, financial services, IT software/hardware, automotive, electronic equipment, power generation, chemicals, music and entertainment, defense and aviation, engineering, construction, manufacturing, mining, education, professional services, and healthcare.
Anthony earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from the University of Texas, and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University.
Prior to joining Ankura, Anthony was a managing director in the forensic and litigation practice of a top-tier global management consulting firm, latterly acting as the Middle East & North Africa practice co-leader, where he had responsibility for investigations and business intelligence. He was also previously a senior leader in forensic and disputes practice of a big four consulting firm in the Americas and Middle East.
