Brooke Hopkins is a Senior Managing Director at Ankura, based in Dallas. She has over 25 years of experience leading corporate compliance advisory and monitorship matters, complex regulatory and internal investigations, control assessments and remediation, and compliance risk management.

Experience

Brooke leads global regulatory and internal investigations, compliance advisory engagements and monitorships, and risk matters, working with external counsel and in-house counsel to report on findings and quickly identify remediation plans. She presents reports and presentations with CEOs, chief financial officers, and general counsels to corporate boards, audit committees, and special committees, and in preparation for reporting to the Department of Justice (DOJ), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Federal Bureau of Investigation, Federal Trade Commission, Serious Fraud Office, and other regulatory agencies.

  • Providing compliance advisory services to a company under a DOJ-instituted Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA).
  • Led a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) investigation involving a U.S.-based public company with subsidiaries located in Mexico, reporting to the DOJ and SEC.
  • Co-led a multi-phase compliance and internal controls review of a government entity.
  • Provided investigation support to a global company undergoing restructuring, confirming the flow of funds and related beneficiaries.
  • Served as an independent compliance consultant under an SEC monitorship.
  • Led development of innovative and environmental, social, and governance-forward compliance and ethics program for a leading global engineering firm based in the Middle East.
  • Served as compliance expert and advisor to the court-appointed monitor for an international travel and leisure company.
  • Led targeted country compliance remediation program for a global oil and gas company under a DOJ-instituted DPA as part of an FCPA settlement. Performed review of third-party operations across Africa, Brazil, and Northern Europe.
  • Performed internal controls review, third-party due diligence evaluation, and anti-corruption process assessment for a multinational oil and gas company in Mexico, Colombia, and Russia.
