David Savage

David has been appointed as the delay expert in Adjudications and has acted as the lead delay analyst, supporting the expert, on numerous occasions in Mediation, Adjudication, Arbitration, and Litigation. He has orally presented findings on delay at Mediation hearings.

David has worked across a diverse portfolio of projects, including rail, roads, tunnels, bridges, real estate, airports, a stadium, a data centre, oil and gas, power and process plants. He has worked on projects in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa and North America. He has advised clients on projects over the project lifecycle, from contract and procurement strategy, project set up, to planning, delivery, and dispute resolution.

Prior to working as a consultant, David worked for an international contractor in Iraq, during the Iraq war, managing teams to deliver civil engineering projects, power generation, distribution, water, and sewerage.

David’s recent professional experience includes:

• Residential bocks of 51 flats in the UK: David was appointed by the employer as the delay expert in an Adjudication against the developer. David’s client won 100% of the dispute.
• Oil and Gas Production facility project in the UK: David was appointed by the employer as the delay expert in an Adjudication against the contractor.
• Retail complex in the UK: In preparation for Litigation, David analysed the delays to the construction of a retail complex caused by an incident where the underground tunnel of a live metro line was breached by an excavator. The dispute settled before trial.
• Opulent villa complex in the Middle East: David was the lead delay analyst supporting the delay expert in this ICC Arbitration, engaged by the employer against the contractor on this approximately £100m villa complex.
