Managing Director
Jason Koch is a Managing Director at Ankura with more than seven years of experience in professional services, litigation consulting, and operations management. He has unique expertise in resolving issues for clients who have reorganized after petitioning for bankruptcy protection, as well as a background in law, public policy, and intellectual property. He is based in Washington, DC.
Experience
Jason has provided settlement administration for significant mass tort and product liability cases, including for some of the largest asbestos trusts and medical device settlements by size and impact — totaling billions of dollars and tens of thousands of claimants. He has also provided management, research, and analysis for a record-breaking oil spill settlement, a professional sports concussion class action, a large industrial manufacturer’s bankruptcy negotiations, a wireless leader’s billings class action, and illegal labor allegations involving a multinational food producer, among others.
Previously, Jason managed global research projects for public and private stakeholders — with an emphasis on developing and emerging economies in Latin America and Southeast Asia — and executed intellectual property subject-matter trainings instructing hundreds of participants from dozens of countries. As a barred attorney, Jason authored amicus briefs in patent cases and published reports evaluating foreign copyright regimes and clerked for the Council of the District of Columbia and interned at the United States Senate.
