Jon Henrich is a Managing Director at Ankura based in New York with over fifteen years advising clients through complex restructurings across sectors. Jon has advised companies, creditors and equity sponsors on strategy and finance areas including interim management, cash and liquidity management, business plan development, vendor management, and financial planning and analysis. He has extensive experience advising companies across a variety of sectors both in chapter 11 and out-of-court restructurings, including Section 363 asset sales, plans of reorganization, debt refinancing and bankruptcy preparation and administration. Jon was named to the American Bankruptcy Institute’s “40 Under 40” Emerging Leaders in 2022.

Experience

Jon’s notable restructuring experience includes:

  • Nordic Aviation Capital – co-led the restructuring advisor team for the largest lessor of regional jets worldwide, resulting in a successful reorganization that restructured over $6 billion of debt across over a dozen different lender groups. The largest chapter 11 filing in 2021, the Nordic Aviation Capital team won the M&A Advisor Chapter 11 Reorganization of the Year (Over $1B) Award.
  • Briggs & Stratton – financial advisor to the world’s largest small engine producer, which included a successful § 363 sale of the company, maintaining 4,000 jobs and providing a recovery to all creditors.
  • Pernix Therapeutics – financial advisor to specialty pharmaceutical company during its restructuring, including advising on capital raise, cash forecasting and liquidity management, and lender negotiations.
  • Real Alloy – financial advisor for the $1.3 billion recycled aluminum manufacturer, advising on areas including cash flow forecasting, vendor management, stakeholder negotiations and claims analysis, which resulted in a successful 363 sale of the operating business and plan of reorganization for the public company parent.
  • Confidential Specialty Pharmaceutical Company – advisor to newly formed management team of a pharmaceutical company that acquired a portfolio of assets consisting of branded and generic drugs, advising on issues including revenue and cash planning, gross to net analysis, vendor management and supply chain management and improvements, and liquidity forecasting and alternatives.
  • REVA Medical, Inc – led the in-court restructuring of the medical device company through its pre-packaged chapter 11 planning and execution, which resulted in a prompt plan confirmation and provided value to stakeholders.
  • Confidential Sporting Goods/Apparel Retailer – financial advisor to assist the company in determining a go-forward store footprint strategy, including liquidity management and “four-wall” profitability analysis.
  • American Airlines – company advisor during its chapter 11 process that led to the merger with US Airways, including leading the effort with the company’s internal purchasing team to negotiate contract extensions and waivers with suppliers.
  • Confidential Secured Lender – financial advisor to secured lender group to a private pharmacy borrower, resulting in a successful recovery to the lender group.
  • Confidential ABL Lender – financial advisor to ABL lender during its pre-chapter 11 planning and DIP negotiations for a retail borrower.
