Experience
Josh is experienced in the management of forensic investigations and litigation support on cases involving large complex data sets from multiple sources that require stitching together records that don’t match precisely. His domain expertise covers consumer finance, insurance, fraud, and compliance.
Having founded and led a data services company for 10 years, Josh has extensive experience in the design of information products and services across a variety of industries. He is recognized in the financial services industry for introducing monitoring systems that characterize and detect suspicious behavior by business entities and for advocating how early detection of suspicious behavior is an important strategy to prevent fraud exposure.
Due to his contributions, Josh was retained for expert analysis and testimony by federal and state law enforcement agencies. He also has extensive technical experience developing custom algorithms to process large amounts of data quickly and is an expert at developing fuzzy logic matching solutions that correctly relate misspelled identities across datasets, the often-overlooked corner stone of robust suspicious activity and fraud detection processes.
Josh’s technical expertise also covers web crawling, business process automation, machine learning, optimization, and reporting. An intuitive and a quick learner, he approaches each problem by working with business owners to make sure he understands the specific industry fundamentals, assumptions, and constraints inherent to a project. He accompanies this approach with mathematical and programming acumen, and an innovative spirit, to ensure project success.
