Kathleen’s professional experience includes:
- Interim Operational Leadership, Healthcare Provider Corporation: Served as interim director, revenue cycle management for a large, national specialty physician services provider.
- Integration and Implementation Leadership, Healthcare Provider Corporation: Led the implementation and transition of corporate and subsidiary treasury services, from 17 legacy service providers, to a single consolidated financial services provider, on behalf of a national specialty physician services provider. Work encompassed a portfolio of projects in revenue cycle management, finance, accounting, and patient engagement.
- Change Management, Hospital Corporation: Worked collaboratively to develop a change management strategy and communication plan for the implementation of accountable care organizations, on behalf of a publicly traded healthcare organization, to ensure effective division and market executive communications. Developed communication materials (e.g., initiative progress, go-live details, keys to success, division/market roles and responsibilities).
- Interim Program Leadership, Hospital Corporation: Served as interim program manager, patient experience for a newly appointed senior executive leader of a publicly traded healthcare organization. Initiated and led strategic planning, infrastructure development, and program deployment.
- Program Leadership, Hospital Corporation: Led strategic, tactical, and cross functional work teams as a key member of the project leadership team responsible for the implementation and operationalization of a post-acute care coordination and navigation program in support of the healthcare organization’s participation in a CMS bundled payment reimbursement model initiative. The core phases of planning, development, and implementation were successfully completed within a compressed timeframe in alignment with program effective dates.
- Program Start-up and Development, Healthcare Services Company: Led start-up of a centralized function to perform third-party billing for professional services. Project included management system selection and implementation, legacy receivables conversion, relocation of operational functions to corporate office, infrastructure design, staffing and recruitment, compliance review, and training.
- Integration Management, Healthcare Services Company: Planned, developed, and implemented infrastructure for centralized business support functions. Consolidated and enhanced operational support functions critical to integration and growth strategies.
Change Management and Performance Improvement, Healthcare Services Company: Led the revenue cycle and reimbursement functions for a national healthcare company’s independent laboratory subsidiary. Assumed role to manage change and improve operational performance. Annual collections increased from $13.8 million to $45.4 million as patient counts grew from 15,000 to 29,000. - Program Development, Healthcare Services Company: Led start up activities and ongoing operations for corporate-owned physician practices including budget development, practice location determination, leasehold improvements, purchasing, credentialing, payor contracting, and practice management system implementation.
