Some of Marcus’ client successes include:

• Resins Distributor/Manufacturer: Led the separation and creation of a new standalone operating company, minimized reliance on TSAs, designed and managed a new ERP implementation for a combined entity, and supported finance and supply chain functions.
• Mechanical Services Business: Prepared the business for a successful exit including assessing and implementing process improvement for service and construction (31 branches in 14 states), organizational design/development and alignment (SG&A and operations), asset management, and procurement. The project resulted in the creation of around $10 million EBITDA and supported a successful sale.
• MRO/Industrial Distribution: Conducted commercial and operations due diligence and assessed inorganic and organic revenue growth potential, competitive landscape, products and services market position, management team skills and capacity, inside and outside sales, private label sourcing, branch network, and customer and end-markets.
• Refrigeration Case/Door Manufacturer: Led the acquisition and restructuring of a manufacturer focused on the refrigeration Industry. Required a complete transformation including management team, organizational structure, supply chain, sourcing, BOMs and Engineering, and packaging. From near bankruptcy in 2021 the company has now increased revenue by 10X with a run rate EBITDA of 13%.
• Healthcare Services: Conducted sell-side due diligence supporting the refinancing of $750 million in senior debt and conveyed an operations-led value creation story to senior lenders. Led the operations due diligence that validated the company’s EBITDA increase from around $200 million to $237 million.

Outside of core consulting, Marcus has effectuated the acquisition of five lower middle market companies and greenfield start-ups in manufacturing, distribution, industrial IoT, business services and power. Marcus was most recently a partner in a Big 4’s Private Equity practice and has spent time consulting for other top consulting firms.
