Mirinda Lowe is a Managing Director at Ankura, based in Nashville. With more than 25 years of experience, she leverages her background in IT, operations, business analysis, software development, and project management to deliver complex, transformative enterprise applications. With expertise in performance optimization, she understands the value of building strong, cross-functional, collaborative relationships.

Experience

Mirinda has significant experience leading IT and electronic health records enterprise initiatives, among other accomplishments. She previously was a founding partner of several startup ventures, and held leadership roles in program management, software development, and business analysis in numerous industries, including software, finance, and human resources.

Mirinda’s professional experience includes:

  • Acquisition Project Management, Healthcare Services Company: Led the IT efforts of the client’s purchase of 15 clinics. Mirinda oversaw the implementation of new hardware and network systems as well as the introduction of an electronic health records system. She also implemented process improvement efforts to support future project success.
  • Strategic Systems Development, Finance Company: Spearheaded the creation of an end-to-end automated, technical trading system of equities, from business analysis to launch. She guided the accelerated launch of five new Cloud-based, automated API trading system products in one year to facilitate the client’s entry into a new business segment.
  • Program Management Office (PMO) Establishment and Management, Finance Company: Created and managed PMO organization for a startup finance and real estate firm. Mirinda managed the project portfolios, vendor relationships, and project finances. Her efforts halved the time to market real estate assets over two years through transformative process improvement initiatives.
  • PMO Establishment and Management, Email Marketing Company: Created and managed the PMO organization for a startup company, overseeing the strategic portfolio of IT and business projects, including the launch of a niche email marketing SaaS product. Mirinda also established agile project methodologies.
  • PMO Establishment and Management, Enterprise Change Management/ALM Company: Created the PMO for a mid-size software company and led a cross-functional, international team in crafting departmental processes to foster organizational support for PMO operations.
  • Software Program Management, Enterprise Change Management Company: Oversaw a $7 million portfolio of large and small enterprise projects that supported two key product lines generating $35 million in annual revenue.
  • Performance Optimization, Software Company: Led the team that identified and remedied the key obstacles inhibiting consistent, timely releases of new software versions of secondary product lines. Mirinda successfully consolidated six product teams into two, efforts that doubled the frequency of releases with one-third fewer staff.
  • Process Improvements, Payroll and Human Resources Company: Devised and implemented processes and functions across business analysis, design, development, quality assurance, and customer support to improve PMO capabilities for a Fortune 1000 client. Improved processes, agility, and proficiency reduced the existing software-product portfolio maintenance list by 55 percent, the new defect rate 30%, and project team size by 45 percent.
  • Performance Optimization, Payroll and Human Resources Company: Analyzed quality assurance processes to generate solutions for a mission critical project on an aggressive time schedule. Mirinda implemented a customized, agile QA process, and team framework that reduced software testing time by 60 percent.
  • Program and Functional Team Management, Payroll and Human Resources Company: Directed the programs and teams responsible to create, maintain, and innovate software for a Fortune 1000 client. Mirinda spearheaded efforts that transformed web capabilities, improved business continuity and disaster recovery, and redesigned systems, platforms, and integrations to enable faster time to market and increased client satisfaction. She also anaged a team of 25 software developers and quality assurance testers that supported the core payroll product that generated $728 million in annual revenue.
  • Process Systems Development, Payroll and Human Resources Company: Collaborated with stakeholders to design and create a robust testing platform that resulted in improved test coverage, increased efficiency, and shorter time to market for new and enhanced products.
  • Division Establishment, Payroll and Human Resources Company: Established a new centralized call center handling customer support for 90 branch offices nationwide, from designing the organizational structure through training and creating development plans for the launch and ongoing operations.
