Pavan Mishra is a Senior Director at Ankura, based in Gurgaon. He has 18 years of professional experience, including more than 13 years specializing in valuation services with a strong emphasis on U.S. regulatory, financial reporting, and tax‑related purposes. His valuation experience includes engagements performed in accordance with Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 409A, ASC 718, ASC 805, ASC 820, and ASC 350. Pavan has extensive experience valuing a wide range of financial instruments and complex securities for both private and publicly traded companies. His experience includes the valuation of intangible assets, debt and hybrid instruments, warrants, preferred and common equity, performance‑based equity awards, employee stock option plans, embedded derivatives, and contingent consideration arrangements. His professional experience spans a broad set of industries, including consumer products, technology, telecommunications, energy (oil and gas), retail, healthcare, professional services, financial services, and general manufacturing.
Experience
Pavan specializes in valuation services, including purchase price allocations, impairment testing, and investment reviews for holdings of hedge funds, private equity firms, and venture capital firms in accordance with ASC 820. He also has extensive experience applying option‑pricing models to value equity and debt instruments in privately held companies with complex capital structures, including stock options, warrants, preferred and common equity, and callable and convertible debt.
At Ankura, Pavan has broadly worked on ASC 820 valuation for certain hedge funds, including many funds, covering around 50 investments recurring monthly/quarterly. In addition, he performed various valuation analysis for regulatory and tax reporting, including, purchase price allocation, impairment testing, and 409a.
Before joining Ankura, Pavan worked with Navigant India in Trivandrum. Prior to Navigant, Pavan worked with EXL Services in Bangalore and LIC Nomura Mutual Funds.
