Vicki LaChance is a Managing Director at Ankura, based in Nashville. With more than 10 years of experience partnering with clients across industries, she specializes in developing corporate strategies that support scalable growth and value creation. An expert communicator and business storyteller, Vicki brings a strategic perspective that ensures the message, medium, audience, and timing are aligned.

Experience

Vicki has experience in multiple roles, from leading strategic consulting engagements to guiding marketing and communications initiatives. She has worked with clients in such industries as healthcare, manufacturing, technology, and logistics, on strategic planning, process optimization, change leadership, technology selection, marketing and communications, and product development, among other efforts.

Vicki began her career at a healthcare nonprofit where she managed the implementation and optimization of a medication donation program for physician practices and health systems across the United States.

Vicki’s professional experience includes:

  • Human Resources Strategic Planning and PMO Management, For-Profit Healthcare System: Responsible for the development and execution of the HR strategy supporting over 250,000 colleagues across the nation. Implemented an agile strategic planning process increasing visibility to value delivered by strategic initiatives and enhancing the organization’s ability to adapt to changing business priorities.
  • Strategic Growth Planning, Global Tire Manufacturer: Led the development of an innovative strategic plan for a niche market. Vicki led senior leaders through a series of facilitated sessions designed to analyze existing services and customer needs, create an innovative vision expanding on current product and service offerings, identify strategic focus areas, and develop a 60-day action plan.
  • Executive Succession Planning Process Development, Health System: Vicki developed and piloted an executive succession planning process designed to increase transparency of potential C-suite openings at facilities throughout the health system and reduce time to fill those positions.
  • Merger and Acquisition Growth Strategy, Global Tire Manufacturer: Partnered with senior leaders to hone the business vision of the future and rapid growth plan that identified more than $50 billion in market opportunities. Vicki developed an executive deck that featured an analysis of the existing business, market forces impacting customers, the future state vision, and a prioritized roadmap of acquisitions.
  • Investor and Board Executive Pitch Deck, Clinical Documentation Technology Firm: Partnered with the executive team to synthesize existing presentations, refresh company vision and key strategies, and update financial inputs to develop a highly visual executive pitch deck for investor and board presentations.
  • Third-Party Product Development Research, Consumer Product Insurance Company: Gathered and synthesized research on the focus areas, challenges, opportunities, and operational resources and tools used by small and medium businesses across five industries. Vicki created a questionnaire, identified and scheduled participants, and conducted more than 30 interviews to gather information.
  • Healthcare Technology Maturity Model, Health System: Developed a custom technology maturity model to evaluate an individual hospital’s nursing technology. Vicki also recommended technology upgrades at the hospital and system levels.
  • Strategic Technology Guides and Roadmaps, For-Profit Healthcare System: Developed a series of strategic technology guides and implementation roadmaps addressing the acute-care patient and clinician experience at hospitals. Vicki collaborated with the client’s business, clinical, and information technology teams to deliver executive-level analysis and visual strategies to support strategic visioning, planning, and decision-making. Leveraging the knowledge and frameworks of this initiative, she also created a replicable approach for use in other areas of the organization.
  • Business Process Optimization, Revenue, and Payment Cycle Management Company: Interviewed key process stakeholders across the organization, documented current state business processes, and analyzed problems and inefficiencies. Vicki then facilitated consensus among key stakeholders on the vision future process.
