Ankura Consulting Announces 2017 Senior Managing Director Promotions

Washington, DC – Wednesday, March 15, 2017 – Ankura Consulting (Ankura) today announced the promotions of four of its valued professionals to the title of Senior Managing Director.

Mr. Michael Baumkirchner has more than 18 years’ experience in restructuring, corporate finance, commercial lending, and investment banking across a wide range of industries including retail, healthcare, energy, financial services, telecom, technology, and manufacturing. Baumkirchner has advised both companies and creditors in highly complex distressed situations, including Lehman Brothers and MF Global. He is also experienced in originating and structuring secured credit backed by aviation assets, marine cargo containers, intellectual property, power plants, and telecommunication infrastructure.
Mr. Mark King has over 22 years’ experience in information technology, business process automation, and data analytics. He specializes in the use of technology and data assets to address complex business, litigation, and security challenges with a focus on large scale data analysis, claims processing, and settlement administration activities in the areas of telecommunications, medical device liability, and bankruptcy trusts. King is an experienced data analyst who has managed projects related to issuing notices to potential claimants on a gross scale, developing useful metrics on airline mile-based compensation, and establishing valuation rules processing for large scale litigation and disaster events.
Mr. Vincent Mekles has been working for over 10 years across the public and private sectors, advising executives and senior management on a range of diverse and complex matters. His expertise includes development, implementation, operation and independent oversight of multi-billion-dollar projects and initiatives, as well as evaluations of the independent and interdependent environmental, technological, socioeconomic, and regulatory risks facing critical facilities, private companies, and government agencies that yield practical risk reduction strategies and maximize return on investment.
Mr. Chad Paulin has been developing compelling visual messaging strategies for law firms and corporate clients based upon the analysis of complex data for over 17 years. He assists clients involved in arbitrations, mediations, and federal and state court legal proceedings, with experience in the areas of antitrust, breach of contract, environmental issues, medical malpractice, pharmaceutical product liability, toxic tort, and insurance. Paulin’s diverse skill set covers, traditional illustration, medical illustration, 3D animation, interactive multimedia, complex data visualization, and the creation of innovative solutions to streamline processes.
