Experience
Prior to Ankura, Carmel worked in financial crime compliance roles with experience building transaction monitoring, sanction screening, and CDD solutions. The majority of her experience has been in the global transaction banking area, guiding, and advising businesses on higher risk products including correspondent banking, trade finance, and other payment related businesses. Her experience also includes a wider risk focus building risk policies and control environments, including risk assessment and risk appetite frameworks. She has worked in programs of all sizes, including small teams where multitasking was imperative, and teams with highly specialized functions which a larger financial institution may employ.
