- Lead Bank to a UK Listed oil & gas business, with indebtedness of over $3.6 Billion. On behalf of the Lenders, Mark (alongside other Banks, credit and hedge funds) negotiated and implemented the sale of the business via a UK Restructuring Plan. The transaction ensured the continuation of a significant UK employer whilst unlocking significant synergy value. Creditor also recovered their investments at par.
- Lead Bank to a UK aviation business, with indebtedness of £2.5 Billion. Mark was instrumental in negotiating the recapitalisation of the business to ensure sufficient liquidity to trade through the pandemic. Alongside traditional Lenders, Finance Lessors and Operating Lessors, Mark was relied upon to structure a deal with the credit card acquirers given their importance to the business model. The transaction, delivered via a UK Restructuring Plan, provided the business with the platform to significantly reduce its cost base, allowing it to manage through pandemic related travel disruption.
- Led the restructuring of a UK-national newspaper which involved underwriting an inaugural high yield bond issuance alongside the concurrent delivery of an equity raise and the extension to key credit facilities.
- Assisted on numerous other transactions comprising debt equitisation, refinancing, accelerated M&A, high yield or equity capital market solutions and debt sale processes.
