Ben Pollak

Ben’s recent projects include:

• Advising a pharmacy benefit manager JV on an optimal governance structure in the event of expanded JV ownership, including defining governance structure archetypes, evaluation criteria, and assessing each archetype against evaluation criteria.
• Advising a large mining JV in Asia on improving its governance, including clarifying the JV’s operating model with its managing shareholder, and developing new processes for key board decisions (e.g., annual plan/budget, company strategy).
• Advising a large energy company on the optimal go-forward business model for its struggling lubricant business in an international market, including clarifying primary business model options and evaluating options against key criteria.
• Developing a set of joint venture governance standards and a joint venture board director training for a global financial services company entering its first joint venture.
• Assessed a major healthcare company’s partnership governance framework against industry standards and identified opportunities for improvement.

Prior to Ankura, Ben worked at a large consulting firm, advising banking clients on operational transformation initiatives. He started his career at a major payments company, where he worked as an internal consultant helping the business solve operational challenges.
