Experience

Fred’s professional experience includes:

  • Accelerate Diagnostics Liquidation Trust: Manages the day-to-day administration of the liquidation trust established to wind down a publicly traded diagnostics company following its Chapter 11 filing. Pursued and monetized assets for the trust’s majority beneficiary and directed a team of former employees across the trust’s key wind-down workstreams, including inventory sales, tax, claims, and collections. Also tasked with overseeing the wind-down of six non-debtor foreign subsidiaries, which included a bankruptcy filing for the parent subsidiary.
  • Takeoff Technologies Wind-Down: Serves as project manager for all aspects of the post-confirmation wind-down of a micro-fulfillment technology company and its affiliated debtors following their Chapter 11 filing, spanning both domestic and international operations. Manages cash controls, liquidity forecasting, and budget oversight while resolving claims, ensuring tax compliance, and preparing court-mandated post-confirmation reporting. Also oversaw an orderly wind-down of the company’s international subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions, coordinating with in-country advisors on voluntary liquidations and tax filings.
  • Gulf Coast Liquidating Trust: Serves as project manager for the wind-down of a skilled nursing facility operator’s former debtor entities, supporting Ankura’s role as liquidating trustee following the company’s Chapter 11 filing. Manages the activities that resolved over $3 billion in secured, administrative, and priority claims and secured recoveries for the trust’s sole beneficiary, including a hurricane-related business interruption claim, accounts receivable collections, and the early release of workers’ compensation collateral. Oversees cash flow and budget projections, tax filings, and court-mandated reporting through to the trust’s anticipated completion.
  • M&G Corporation Litigation Trust: Leads the day-to-day tasks associated with implementing the plan of liquidation for the litigation trust of a global PET resin producer, as part of Ankura’s role as co-litigation trustee. Assists with the resolution of approximately $12 billion in secured, administrative, priority, and general unsecured claims and the monetization of trust assets. The trust is on track to exceed its plan estimates for general unsecured creditor distributions.
  • Exide Technologies Wind-Down: Acts as project manager supporting Ankura’s role as plan administrator in winding down the estates of a global lead-acid and lithium-ion battery producer following its Chapter 11 filing. Contributes to claims resolution, including the expungement of approximately $600 million in secured, administrative, and priority claims, as well as asset recoveries and distributions to allowed claimants. Also supports cross-border workstreams such as environmental remediation, property sales, and foreign tax claims and filings, alongside ongoing cash flow projections and court-mandated reporting.
  • AT&T Mobility Settlement Administration: Serves as project manager for this large-scale settlement administration engagement, leading the team that has distributed more than 28 million settlement checks worth over $650 million to eligible class members. Designed and implemented a claimant support system that has answered over 50,000 business and individual inquiries by phone, email, and mail. Also directs the engagement’s unclaimed property and escheatment efforts for undistributed and uncashed settlement funds.
