Miguel Arias Salgado

Miguel specializes in managing corporate turnaround situations, developing strategic business plans, and implementing transformation offices on complex transformation and financial restructuring situations across a wide range of industries including logistics, industrial, energy, telco, and oil and gas.

Prior to joining Ankura, Miguel developed his career from analyst to senior engagement manager at a global strategy consulting firm where he led multiple transformation and turnaround projects across different industries. He has previously worked in roles in unicorns and on corporate transformations for an industrial fertilizer in the UAE with operations worldwide.

Miguel’s relevant professional experience includes:

• Launched the global transformation office for a fertilizer company, running a TO in Brazil, identifying $250 million EBITDA potential across commercial, operations, and finance. Launched a transformation office and PMO to boost implementation and result capturing.
• Defined and implemented a carve-out for a global company based in the UAE for the commercial business internationally.
• Supported a new venture creation of an oil and gas company, launching the business in a new continent.
• Supported the integration processes for an energy company, leading both the strategy and the TO.
• Performed independent due diligence for telco companies assessing synergies.
