Tara Krieg

Tara has been in healthcare compliance consulting since 2016, first with Aegis Compliance and Ethics Center, and then continuing with Ankura Consulting in 2017. Tara focuses on healthcare compliance, performing tasks including research and clinical trial coverage analysis and inpatient rehabilitation auditing, and project management. She has a thorough understanding of the Medicare Benefit Policy Manual concerning inpatient rehab facilities and handles rehabilitation audits, ensuring documentation requirements are met and that patient stays are considered medically reasonable and necessary. She is knowledgeable regarding compliance with Medicare’s national coverage determination and their allowances for billing during clinical trials. 

Tara is an author and educator on topics such as human subject protection and clinical research billing. She also serves as Editor for the Ankura Research Compliance Round Up, a bi-monthly regulatory webinar. 

Tara graduated from Kentucky Christian University with a degree in nursing and has spent time serving the medically underprivileged in Ghana, Africa.
