Ankura Appoints Ferat as Senior Managing Director

Forensic Capabilities Enhances Investigations & Accounting Advisory Group
Aug. 29, 2016, Washington, DC – Ankura Consulting Group (Ankura), a business advisory and expert services firm, announced today the appointment of Jean‐Michel Ferat as Senior Managing Director. His capabilities in forensic accounting and fraud detection will enable him to strengthen both of the firm’s Investigations & Accounting Advisory group, and its Litigation & Disputes group. Mr. Ferat will be based in the firm’s Washington, DC office.
Mr. Jean‐Michel Ferat joins Ankura as Senior Managing Director with more than 18 years of experience in large‐scale fraud and corruption cases across more than 20 countries, including the investigations into the United Nations’ Oil‐for‐Food Program in Iraq, Holocaust‐era bank accounts held in Switzerland, and market manipulation on the Karachi stock exchange in Pakistan. As an expert in forensic data mining and the analysis of complex data sets, Mr. Ferat led a data analytics team to identify and mitigate fraud in the claims settlement program of the BP Deepwater Horizon litigation. Mr. Ferat was most recently with The Claro Group.
