Financial Accounting Expert Enhances Investigations & Accounting Advisory Services
Nov. 14 2016, Washington, DC – Ankura Consulting Group (Ankura), a business advisory and expert services firm, announced today the appointment of Linda MacDonald as Senior Managing Director. Based in the firm’s New York office, Ms. MacDonald will practice in Ankura’s Investigations & Accounting Advisory group.
Linda MacDonald joins Ankura as Senior Managing Director, and is based in New York. She has nearly 30 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting that brings a unique mix of standard setting, investigatory, and litigation consulting experience to the firm’s Investigations & Accounting Advisory Practice.
Ms. MacDonald’s experience includes over a decade with the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), where she was a director. At FASB, she was involved in establishing U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and coordinated with the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) on convergence with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). She was also a member of the SEC’s Division of Enforcement in Washington, D.C., where she performed investigations into potential violations of GAAP and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) involving SEC registrants and their outside auditors. She joins Ankura from FTI Consulting, where she provided expert testimony, privileged consulting, forensic accounting, and technical accounting advisory services on various matters involving the application of U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
