Ankura Appoints Michael Miller as Managing Director

Experienced Healthcare Manager Joins Turnaround & Restructuring Group


Dec. 6 2016, Washington, DC – Ankura Consulting Group (Ankura), a business advisory and expert services firm, announced today the appointment of Michael Miller as Managing Director. Based in the firm’s Dallas, TX office, Mr. Miller will work within Ankura’s Turnaround & Restructuring group.

Mr. Michael Miller joins Ankura as Managing Director with more than 30 years of healthcare management experience. His expertise includes assisting distressed businesses attain operational and financial stability. Mr. Miller has served as chief executive officer (CEO), chief operating officer (COO), and chief financial officer (CFO) across the not-for-profit and for-profit arenas. He has worked with hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitative units, psychiatric units, ambulatory care clinics, and durable medical care. Mr. Miller served as chief revenue officer (CRO) for a physician owned, for-profit surgical hospital where he helped the organization file for Chapter 11 protection and guided it through a Section 363 sale. Additionally, he achieved a $150 million financial improvement over a 36-month period while serving as interim CEO and deputy CRO for a nationally-recognized academic medical center hospital. Mr. Miller was most recently with Deloitte.
