Ankura Enhances Compliance and Investigation Capabilities

July 11, 2016, Washington, DC – Ankura Consulting Group (Ankura), a business advisory and expert services firm, announced today the appointments of Francesca Harker, Managing Director and Erin Dunn, Senior Director to enhance the firm’s capabilities in its Regulatory & Contractual Compliance practice and its Investigations & Accounting Advisory practice.

Ms. Francesca Harker joins Ankura with more than eight years of experience specializing in compliance and financial fraud investigation in connection with corporate internal investigations. She has conducted investigations into accounting, reporting and internal control issues, including Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations as well as FINRA, SEC and other governmental enforcement actions for a range of clients in both public and private industry. Ms. Harker’s experience in financial investigation engagements includes examinations into Ponzi schemes and matters involving suspected fraudulent financial reporting. She has developed compliance policies for major corporations, including comprehensive compliance policies addressing anti‐corruption, ethical, whistleblower and import/export issues. Ms. Harker was most recently with BakerHostetler.

Ms. Erin Dunn joins Ankura with more than six years of experience in professional services in litigation & dispute advisory and forensic accounting consulting engagements including corporate accounting investigations, business valuations, corporate monitorships and bankruptcy matters. She has participated in investigations in a variety of industries including investment firms, commercial and retail banking, intellectual property, construction and entertainment. Recently she managed a team of forensic accountants in connection with the retention by a court‐ appointed trustee under the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) in the liquidation of a fraudulent investment fund. Ms. Dunn has conducted fraud investigations to detect, isolate and correct violations of the Sarbanes‐Oxley Act, and assisted in an investigation of a public company’s accounting records due to a whistleblower’s allegation of alleged misuses of the company’s reserve accounts. Ms. Dunn was most recently with Houlihan Lokey.
