Ankura in the Community

June 23, 2020

In our open letter to our communities, Ankura employees made the commitment to help address the issue of food insecurity during this COVID-19 crisis. Prevailing circumstances have created an extraordinary demand for food that has put a strain on food banks and other organizations that are working to help those most in need.

We are committed to fighting hunger and have focused our humanitarian efforts on supporting foodbanks, and other non-profit organizations that are providing meals to vulnerable or at-risk groups, frontline healthcare workers and first responders. Our employees have made personal donations to non-profit organizations around the world to help in this effort. For example,

World Central Kitchen has been urgently getting meals to those who need them most. They are working with hundreds of restaurants and kitchens to feed marginalized and vulnerable communities to make a meaningful impact in the fight to keep everyone fed. Per World Central Kitchen:

A nourishing meal in a time of crisis is so much more than a plate of food—it’s hope, it’s dignity, it’s a sign that someone cares about you and that you are not alone.

We also have participated in local fundraisers, virtual food drives, and other initiatives to help organizations in their mission to feed our communities. Some of these organizations include the following:

We urge our communities to help support these and other organizations that are helping to provide hope and dignity to those that need it most.
