Thomas Emmons Joins Ankura As Managing Director

Ankura Expands Advisory Capabilities with Addition of IT Organizational Alignment and Structuring Expert


WASHINGTON D.C. – August 13, 2018 – Ankura, a leading business advisory and expert services firm that leverages integrated risk management, governance, compliance, investigations, forensics, technology, turnaround and restructuring, and management consulting capabilities, today announced the appointment of Thomas Emmons as Managing Director. Based in St. Louis, Mr. Emmons has more than a decade of experience leading and advising large IT organizations through periods of transformational change. His specialties include the development and implementation of operating and strategic plans, consolidation of systems and costs, and restructuring of IT job functions, among others. Mr. Emmons’ broad background and wide breadth of experience will allow him to work across sectors and verticals at Ankura ranging from IT strategy and planning to data and compliance to restructuring and M&A integration advisory.

Prior to joining Ankura, Mr. Emmons was the Chief Information Officer at SunEdison Inc., where he led an initiative to consolidate applications, reducing annual spending by over $25 million. He also led the divestiture, and resulting unwinding and independent establishment of IT networks, of nearly $1 billion in SunEdison assets.
