While at Ankura, he has worked on several web application projects including class action data collection, settlement administration intake, and full settlement administration from data collection to payment distribution. He is based in Washington, DC.

Experience

Brian has experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including business analysis, architectural design, application design, database design, development, documentation, and delivery. His projects make use of technologies and tools such as ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (ajax, jQuery), HTML, CSS, Git, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Heroku, and Amazon S3.

In addition, Brian is responsible for the technical direction, implementation, and maintenance of key software systems that support settlement administration of mass dispute litigations through a variety of technologies including ASP.NET web forms, ASP.NET MVC, and Ruby on Rails. He is tasked with ensuring high application availability as well as adherence to stringent quality and auditing guidelines. His applications regularly distribute millions of dollars each month and have paid over $5 billion to date.

Prior to his work at Ankura, Brian was the lead developer on an internal software product that enforced federal Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance measures for many project management teams for a large Fortune 500 company. He established quality control measures for the product using test-driven development and continuous integration. He reduced code duplication and system complexity through judicious use of refactoring techniques and code automation.
