    Don most recently provided leadership for private equity-backed organizations seeking business re-engineering, technology transformation, and accelerated growth via M&A transactions. He has led financial and operational analytic and improvement initiatives, merger and integrations financial planning and analysis, cash management, board and bank reporting, and technology system selection and IT infrastructure initiatives. Don has extensive experience working with private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies across a variety of complex situations. His experience includes advising sponsors pre-acquisition and assisting portfolio companies execute on value creation strategies, such as add-on acquisitions, operational improvement initiatives, business transformation, and exit preparation.

    Don was most recently a managing director at CBIZ CMF, a leading operating and implementation partner for finance and financial leadership, where he led the national private equity consulting practice. He was instrumental in building and growing the practice, leading complex consulting projects for private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, focusing on financial and operational transformation.

    Prior to joining CBIZ CMF, Don held the VP of accounting and finance and treasurer positions at CastleRock Security, a private equity-backed full-service alarm installation and monitoring business. He has also acted as interim CFO for multiple portfolio companies in various industries. Don also filled senior management positions at PwC and Arthur Andersen in Chicago, with the financial services consulting practices.
