Fadi Nashed is a Managing Director at Ankura, based in Riyadh. Prior to relocating to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Fadi was based in Toronto. Fadi specializes in planning and delay analysis, investigations, arbitration and litigation support services for construction matters. Fadi has provided other services to construction clients, including productivity/disruption analysis and provision of contractual advice. Fadi aims to assist his clients in avoiding or resolving any disputes on medium, large, and mega-projects. His clients include major law firms, public sector owners, main contractors, subcontractors, and design firms.

Experience

Fadi has arbitration qualifications and has received invitations to be on arbitrators’ rosters; he uses these skills to render complicated technical matters simple when communicated to courts, arbitrators, tribunals and legal professionals.

Fadi has worked in English, French, and Arabic, bringing multiple languages to projects for more complete communication.

Dispute Resolution

  • Maritime Link Project, East Coast, Canada: Advised the client regarding delay matters in arbitration.
  • Four Synchronous Condensers, Riel Station, Manitoba, Canada: Advised the client regarding delay matters in arbitration.
  • Women’s College Hospital, Toronto, Canada: Advised the client regarding delay matters in litigation (settled).
  • US.$15 billion, Clean Fuels Project, Kuwait: Provided claims management and claims review services on behalf of the employer (a public entity).
  • LRT Project, Boston, MA: Supported the client in justifying their entitlement to an extension of time under contract.
  • US.$300 million, Tank Farm Project: MAA Refinery, Kuwait: Guided the client in demonstrating their entitlement to an extension of time and associated costs.
  • Two schools in Doha, Qatar: Managed the claim case and established an entitlement to an extension of time.
  • Garage for subway trains, Montreal, Canada: Advised the client (a public entity) and assisted in setting up a strategy as to how to tackle their contractors’ delays.
  • US.$430 million Small Boat Harbours Project, Kuwait: Guided the client in justifying their entitlement to an extension of time.

Advisory and Project Management

  • Waterfront Toronto, Canada: Provided project controls and scheduling advisory services for the design phase.
  • US.$363 million Power Plant: Created the project integrated baseline schedule, progress measurement, invoicing, and reporting systems.
  • €1.3 billion, Terga Combined Cycle Power Plant, Algeria: Acted as a project coordinator providing project management services in English, French, and Arabic for more than two years.
