    Julie’s professional experience includes:

    • Interim Chief Compliance Privacy and Risk Officer: Provided independent oversight for all policy and procedure development and compliance adherence at a major academic medical center, and ensure that all incidents were evaluated, investigated, and resolved or disclosed as required. Within this organization, Julie was responsible for managing privacy, risk, and research compliance as well as hospital and professional billing compliance departments.
    • Interim Director of Research Compliance: Directed regulatory and clinical research billing analysts in the development of standard operating procedures, policy development, education, and training at a major academic medical center. Also supported the principal investigators during FDA inquiries and reviews.
    • Hospital Transaction Due Diligence: Provided research assessment review on behalf of buyer to assess billing and regulatory risk in advance of acquisition.
    • Physician Contract Review: Provided physician contract review for a not-for-profit, multiple-hospital health system. Assembled key data points for all physician agreements throughout the system to facilitate the development of a consolidated MediTrac database.
    • Clinical Research Billing Disclosure: Worked under the direction of a client council to investigate research billing matters. Investigated, developed, and implemented the corrective action plan to meet client disclosure obligations under the client’s corporate integrity agreement (CIA).
    • Hospital Operations for Major Medical Center (Chicago): Collaborated with and performed under the direction of the office of the president to assist departmental restructuring and optimization of the operations, including physician contracts, consolidation of billing systems, and identification and resolution of billing and compliance issues. Developed corrective action plans and presented to the Office of Inspector General as part of a CIA.
    • Physician Services for Privately Held Hospital Company: Served as vice president of physician services for a Chicago-based for-profit health system. Provided oversight of more than 30 multispecialty physician practices. Responsible for strategic growth, physician recruitment, revenue cycle, budget development, financial performance, staff development, and associated regulatory obligations.
    • Physician Services for Publicly Traded Hospital Company: Served as chief executive officer for the Western US region. Responsible for oversight of finance, managed care contracting, revenue cycle, operations, and physician contracting and staffing for more than 50 operating locations in Arizona, California, Texas, Nebraska, and Washington.
