Timothy G. Raab is a Senior Managing Director at Ankura with over 16 years of experience in professional services with a focus on complex finance, tax, and accounting matters. He is based in Washington, DC.
Timothy is part of Ankura’s litigation and disputes group, providing expert and consulting services to law firms and businesses involved in complex litigation. His experience includes a range of matters with a focus on mass tort liability forecasting, economic damages estimation, business valuation, fraudulent conveyance and preference actions, business interruption and lost profits disputes, and taxation issues regarding corporate acquisitive reorganizations.
A significant portion of his practice is providing financial, tax, and accounting related consulting services to global settlement funds that resolve complex mass torts and class actions by preserving, apportioning and equitably distributing funds. Timothy has significant experience establishing and managing qualified settlement funds (IRC 468B) and is an authority on the tax consequences and operations of these entities.
Prior to joining Ankura, Timothy worked in the software and technology services industry at BEA Systems as a revenue recognition manager, and prior to that at Computer Sciences Corporation as a financial consultant and accountant in their federal government division.
