Michael Minix, a Managing Director at Ankura based in Houston, brings over eleven years of real estate consulting experience to the firm. Michael has an extensive and diversified background in providing real estate valuation and advisory services for virtually all real estate classes across the United States and Europe. His client base has included financial institutions, REITs, fund managers, and pension funds.
Experience
Michael’s primary experience has been in valuation work, portfolio management, financial due diligence, and market analysis for investment-grade real estate in most primary and secondary markets across the U.S. on behalf of institutional investors. This work includes extensive experience with all property types, such as retail, office, industrial, multifamily, hospitality, medical, and specialty-use properties.
Michael has managed the ongoing valuation process on behalf of institutional asset managers for their open-end diversified and separate account real estate funds, as well as public non-traded REITs, in aggregate fund value of more than $15 billion and totaling around 150 properties. In addition, he has completed numerous valuation and purchase price accounting assignments throughout the U.S. and Europe for financial reporting.
Prior to joining Ankura, Michael was a director at Alvarez & Marsal in the real estate practice, and a manager at Altus Group focusing on valuations and appraisal management.
