Experience
Nick’s professionals experience includes:
- Forensic Accounting Investigation: Assisted counsel with calculating a multimillion-dollar claim related to a sub-contractor and general contractor dispute regarding invoices and payments.
- Economic Damages: On behalf of counsel, assisted with calculating and rebutting wrongful termination claims for two municipal employees.
- Accounting Investigation: Assisted management in reviewing hundreds of contracts for the restatement and potential IPO process for assessing ASC 606.
- Economic Damages: Helped management for a multination blue chip company calculate and rebut damages for the ceased construction of a nuclear power plant.
- Mass Tort Analyses: Helped organize and assisted over 2,000 clients in preparing claims and quantify the value of economic losses associated with the 2012 Deepwater Horizon Settlement Agreement.
- Post-Acquisition Dispute: On behalf of a health care management company, conducted an investigation and analysis of the reasonableness of financial representations of an acquired entity.
- Forensic Accounting Investigation: While working directly with the Chief Restructuring Officer for a bankrupt mortgage originator and servicing company, assisted in investigating the nature, source, and ownership of over $1 billion in assets, which involved hundreds of thousands of transactions.
- Investigation: Assisted with the seizure, collection, and documentation of the inventory of a gold coin dealer and a subsequent investigation of certain representations that the dealer made to a multinational bank regarding the value of the inventory.
- Economic Damages: Calculated direct damages incurred by a large appliance manufacturer in connection with the formal recall of approximately 1.8 million dishwasher units and a separate formal recall of approximately 1.6 million refrigerator units.
- Economic Damages: Calculated wrongful death economic damages allegedly incurred by estates of individuals related to alleged defective aircraft parts for a professional golfer, professional athlete manager and two employees, professional pilot, and an investor with ownership interests in numerous businesses.
